Lay off the bakeries!

Let me make this clear:  I work on this cute little street in Montreal with about 12 bakeries and coffee shops in a 3 block span.  I am a slave to them on a busy day.  Muffins, Croissants, Bread, Cupcakes, Cookies… they’re my downfall.  I have to be stricter with myself and these treats.  I’ve been doing an awesome job working out lately:  strength training 2x per week, hot yoga 2-3x week, ballet, and cardio 3x.  Yet I am hovering at 195 and barely hanging on.  I was 184 for my wedding in August and I can’t seem to get the eating under control!  This will be my goal for the next 6 weeks.  Luckily I’m beautiful and my fashion style is fierce so I still look gorgeous, I just know I can improve, because long term I’d like to be stable and healthier!

Long time no blog

I’ve had a low week.  Canadian Thanksgiving was hectic and going through a busy cycle at work.  No excuses.  I have to keep focused -I know.  I had an intense morning at the gym.  All morning I haven’t been able to get the heaviness of the 30 lb weight I was holding.  SO HEAVY.  It’s like I literally have that strapped to me at all times.  Think about it.  Imagine if you could just put down the extra weight.  Imagine how easy EVERYTHING would be.  No wonder I always feel lazy and exhaused.  I need to lose 30 lbs.  Seriously.

When down makes you feel up

I’m so happy to report I lost 4lbs this week.  I really needed this kick start and I hope I can keep losing around 2lbs a week to start making a dent in myself.  I am so happy the scale reflected my work because I put a lot of effort into staying on points and doing exercise.  Yay me!  Is anyone else at Weight Watchers finding the meetings are not good lately.  That dance one was actually ridiculous.  I want to enjoy it, but it’s a bit too much for me sometimes.  Maybe it’s just the leader, but I actually switched because I liked her.

So I will do yoga again tomorrow and yesterday I tried the NYC Ballet workout which was hard to follow like the gorgeous ballerinas demonstrating, but I can tell it’s building muscle. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Mix it UP!

I have had such a fun activity week!  I tried Moksha yoga and it was amazing!  I was so calm afterwards and extremely sweaty, but it was so relaxing!  A few poses were challenging to do correctly, but I can tell this will improve.  I am definately going Sunday as well.  PS- Awesome sex post this workout.

Yesterday I took advantage of the weather and went out for an early morning walk before it gets too chilly for me.  Loved it!  So peaceful and calm by the river and the foliage is so gorgeous to see.  I didn’t even wear my ipod, jost stayed calm.

I am about to do the NYC Ballet video now so I will let you know tonight how it goes.  Looks fantastic.

I have really been an angel this week except one dinner for the holidays.  I better see upwards of 2 or I’ll be a bit frustrated.  xoxoxo

Trying Moksha Yoga Tomorrow!!

I’m so excited!  Tomorrow I’m trying yoga and not just any yoga but Moksha (hot yoga!!) with my friend Pam.  The studio opens tomorrow and I’m definately going to take advantage of the first week free promotion!  I am watching the Biggest Loser right now and the Grand Canyon river analogy is SO motivating.  Stay the course, give it power and time and beauty will emerge!  I think I may be overly obsessed with the show. I can’t even handle if my husband talks during it.  I actually feel like he is blocking my weightloss karma if I miss a word.  Ha.  Why so serious?  I’m so crazy!

Shana Tova

Well Happy New Year everyone.  I went to dinner last night and now I am back off track.  Thank goodness I am not celebrating tonight.  Blah!  I couldn’t work out because I feel sooo sluggish digesting.  It seems so delicious at the time…   I will get on track eating tonight and then it’s biggest loser YAY!  And extra workout time tomorrow. Promise!  Thanks for everyones support in advance, I know it’s coming :)

FINALLY DOWN

After two weeks of gains, I am happy to say that I finally lost 1.6.  I wish it had been a bit better, but I ate a few too many treats this week.  I was very on track with fitness. I had a great 2 hour run yesterday and a lovely session with the trainer today.  My body hates me, but I know this will get better in about a week.  I’m trying to keep it up, but I am feeling a little bit down lately which makes everything a bit harder.  I’m not sure if I’m going through a little depession phase or what.  Usually cardio pops me out of it, but it’s not really working.  I can tell my husband is even a bit disappointed I’m not my usual chipper self.  Could it be the tightening up on calories, lack of daylight, slow progress?  Any advice on this? Have a fantastic weekend everyone!!

Perfect Days are so Motivating!

Good Morning!

I had the perfect health day yesterday.  Great AM workout and perfect eating habits.  Today I find this extremely motivating and I’m feeling very optimistic.  My new trainer is awesome.  I’m, slightly sore this morning, which just makes me realize how far out of shape I was getting.  Very glad I was so persistent with myself.

The best news: No cookies!

New DVD so FUN!

Hi guys!

I just tried a great video at home for days I need a break from the gym.  It’s ballet conditioning.  I really feel longer and leaner and I can tell it will improve my posture and grace.  I bought 3 tapes and I will try to rotate one in once or twice a week.  I loved it tonight!

My eating  was not really on track today because I had cookies in the food court.  Other than that pretty good.  As cookies are my weekness I have buddied up with a fellow buddyslimmer to go without cookies as long as we can.  Obviously starting now, not this afternoon.

Okay I’m going to get in my PJs for Biggest Loser!!! Yay!xoxo

Cookie free for 24 hours

Hallelujah! I stayed on points today and even enjoyed dinner out.  I also worked out and managed to stay sane.  I am exhausted from getting up at 5:30 instead of 6:30, but I’m going to target 5:50 and make it work.  It’s easier to start the routine now because it’s still light out.  I booked 3 sessions/week with the new trainer until December.  He seems nice and very eager to have a permanent client.  I will of course update you all with his pros and cons in posts to com I’m sure.  I really really really want to lose 4lbs this week!  Cross your fingers for me!
